Indian Bean Tree leaf printed butter dish

In our garden we have an Indian Bean Tree. The young leaves on this tree are often heart shaped and have a lovely vein pattern. After using some leaves to print on to a cup, we thought that this leaf would suit a butter dish and we were right, it really does! The dish is glazed with a sky blue celadon that sits darker in the print allowing it to stand out and be the star.
The dish is slab built and has some minor warp to add to its unique handmade charm. We love pieces that aren't perfectly linear and symmetrical and view this as beautiful evidence of its making and the absence of machinery.
This butter dish measures 14.5x11.5cm and was made by Tim.
