Meet Red Squirrel Handmade

Hello! We are Tim and Charlotte, and family. Charlotte is a passionate designer and maker with a First Class degree in contemporary craft and a 20+ year career teaching art, while Tim is a former head greenkeeper and qualified teacher. Charlotte creates printed artwork using both traditional and digital methods and Tim is our ceramicist and avid knitter.

Over a 9 year period, we embarked on an incredible adventure, traveling the world, learning, teaching, and making memories along the way. We were fortunate to visit numerous countries that have left an everlasting impression on our hearts.

We believe in the beauty of nature and the magic inherent in crafting unique designs and hand-made items. Drawing, painting, knitting, digital art, ceramics and the occasional cake —these are the activities that fill our days with joy. We make it a point to nurture our creativity every single day, and we absolutely adore it!

Our Story

From 2021-23 we lived in Germany where we were blessed with a charming garden, in which we grew vegetables and immersed ourselves in nature. Our days were filled with visits from deer, woodpeckers, wrens, and robins. But the one visitor who truly stole our hearts was a friendly red squirrel.

Red Squirrel Hand-made’s ultimate goal is to inspire others to embrace their own creativity and to appreciate the beauty of nature that infuses our designs. The greatest compliment we could receive is your trust in our products and the joy they bring to your life.
