This delightful cup with orange marigold has been made by hand using coil and pinch techniques. The flower and cup are hand glazed with the cup finished in a beautiful turquoise green. The inside of the cup has been clear glazed.
The reason that I enjoy making by hand is that each piece is unique. It retains marks and impressions made during construction, giving the owner a meaningful connection to the maker and the knowledge that the item they are using was happily made by another person.
This cup holds approximately 380ml and is 9cm tall and it is packaged in degradable materials. They are not suitable for microwave or dishwasher use.
